From our surveys and interviews, training and career were the 2 main pillars that interested the Airside community.
At the time, the training section was most likely going to connect with the Crew Training lighthouse (initially led by Gabriel St-Amant) and the marketplace early concepts.
*Since then, a new lighthouse “E-commerce” emerged and is being led by Marco Gervasio
The training vision was never fletched out due to legal problems. Regulations would not allow Airside to offer formal training as the entity Airside did not have the rights to do so, compared to CAE.
As such, what the training pillar will contain remained a mystery until just recently.
Now, to avoid any legal problems, the training section will be rebranded as the Learning section. Furthermore, the business is considering partnering up with LinkedIn Learning. That way, online courses (unrelated to formal training) could be offered on Airside (ex: Soft skills, meditation, etc.).
